The countdown is on for Ipswich Music Day as we bring you a list of bands that will be hitting one of the many stages in Christchurch Park.
Now in its 28th year, Music Day is the largest free one-day music festival in the UK, and hosts six stages featuring a selection of the brightest local unsigned artists found in East Anglia – So here is a list of bands to check out!
Saving Scarlett
Where are they performing? Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage
What time? 12.30pm
Saving Scarlett will definitely be one of the early ones in the day to catch as the female fronted Alt/Melodic rock band from Suffolk will be gracing the Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage! With their debut album ‘Hourglass released last year they have plenty of material to get through for the crowd to kick-off the day!
Pessimist
Where are they performing? Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage
What time? 6:30pm
Headlining the Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage, a band you need to check out as they bring their Alternative Pop-Rock to close the festival, so if you like Knuckle Puck or Neck Deep you will want to catch these to finish your day!
Rad Pitt
Where are they performing? Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage
What time? 1:15pm
One of Colchester’s most popular bands Rad Pitt will be one to check out who will bring their lively presence to Music Day with their fun blast of post-hardcore with some solid guitar work and riffs for an entertaining set!
History & Lore
Where are they performing? Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage
What time? 5:30pm
Set to bring their upbeat vibe and ambient indie sound, History & Lore will be a band to check out late into the day with the Melodic-indie five-piece from Cambridge look to play tracks from their new EP ‘Lights’.
Strike the Sun
Where are they performing? University of Suffolk Bowl Stage
What time? 12pm
Another Female fronted band to check out is Strike The Sun who will kick-off the day at the University of Suffolk Bowl Stage as the alt-rock four-piece will be ones to check out for sure!
Radio Orwell
Where are they performing? Monument Stage
What time? 2pm
A name that has been around for awhile hitting many venues across East Anglia, this five-piece will put you in a chill mood, bringing their Jangly Indie Guitar Pop to the stage!
Impilo
Where are they performing? Ed Sheeran/Suffolk New College Pond Stage
What time? 4.30pm
Hip hop fusion band Impilo will get you on your feet and dancing away as the four piece from Ipswich bring their upbeat and engaging sounds to the stage as lead singer Bhebhe will make sure to put on a show on the day
